So the floor was scrapped and pressure washed. I had picked out- but NOT finalized some paint colors…. but my fake hubby decided a few Saturday’s ago that he wanted to get paint. A bit baffled but ok we worked hard so maybe this would be a nice break. We left like 3p ish and headed to Sherwin Williams. But not the Sherwin Williams he would normally go too- we went towards the 3rd Ward.

I have a few things saved on Pinterest. Fancy wine cellars with light brick like manlikemarvinsparks below- but I envisioned cream city brick. But I also love the dark wood beams and accents. How to sponge paint bricks by maisondecor8 (below) and a few others game me something to start my madness.

We debated and looked up more ideas and… picked out our paint. Little cans of each, two little cans of the wall solid color. My dream was to make it look like these old and awesome European wine cellars.

The one you can’t read very well- has gotten some adds to where it will be used … but that is a story for next time!

While our paint was being mixed up- that’s when it hit!

Fake hubby: hey Hermosa there is a beer release at Indeed Brewing- can we grab one while waiting for our paint. It’s only half a mile away…

Me: so this wasn’t ever about paint was it…

But he got his release beer, we got our paint, and made our merry way home.
